This guide has all you need to know about how to play bingo. If you are new to the game, it’s a good idea to arrive early so you have enough time to relax, ask questions and go over the bingo basics. We think you’ll find that the clubs have plenty to keep you entertained such as interval games and more!
First Timers:
Bingo is a simple game. Each consists of a caller, your bingo book and a dabber to mark off your numbers. As the caller announces the numbers, you simply mark off those numbers in the book.
3 Ways To Win:
A typical bingo game is played on a sheet with 6 panels numbered from 1 to 90. Each panel contains 3 rows of five numbers each and each number from 1 to 90 is only featured once in the sheet. Numbers are arranged in 9 columns, downwards, with all numbers from 1 to 9 in the first column, all numbers from 10 to 19 in the second column and so on. Within these panels there are 3 possible ways to win – one line, two lines and full house.
STEP BY STEP:
1 – Buy your bingo books & pick up a dabber from the book sales area.
2 – When the game begins use your dabber to mark off the numbers that are called out by the caller.
3 – Call “Check’ (out loud) if you are first to get one line, two lines or full house.
WHAT IF I WIN?
Congratulations! If you have marked all the numbers correctly, shout “CHECK” immediately. A team member will come to assist you. Don’t wait for the next number to be called, or you might miss your win.
Electronic Bingo (Bingo Bee):
Playing bingo on your portable electronic bingo terminal is fun and easy. They allow you to play more bingo cards effortlessly by marking the numbers automatically as they are called. It will also advance to the next game automatically, let you know if you are playing for one line, two lines or a full house and display the number you need to win when you are one number away.
Don’t forget though that the electronic bingo terminal can’t do all the work for you, you must still shout check when you have a win!
