On an unusually balmy Friday evening in Cabra, Deputy Mary Lou, Leader of the Sinn Féin party recently called the numbers at a bingo night in aid of the Sancta Maria Day Centre.

Ms McDonald presented a cheque to the value of €3,000 to Chairperson and lifelong Bingo player, Anne Grogan of Sancta Maria. Members of Jack Pott’s Bingo at The Cabra Grand, helped raise the much-needed funds to help Sancta Maria continue providing local senior citizens with Day Care facilities and meals on wheels.

Anne Grogan, Chairperson for Sancta Maria Day Centre commented “I want to thank Jack Pott’s Bingo, Deputy Mary Lou McDonald and most importantly, our local bingo players who have showed up yet again to support us. I would also like to thank all the Sancta Maria staff for the invaluable work they do for the community.”

Jack Pott’s Bingo have supported Sancta Maria over the last 15 years with the supply of a minibus which is essential to the meals on wheels service. Bingo is played six nights a week at each of the four Jack Pott’s clubs in Crumlin, Cabra, Whitehall and Tallaght.
